Overview
Hi, I’m Kel (she/her), a counsellor/therapist, trainer, and researcher specialising in eating disorders and identity. I work with clients across the UK and bring both professional expertise and lived experience to my practice.
My approach is integrative and existential, grounded in compassion and collaboration. I don’t use a manualised model and often find that my more relational approach resonates with those who haven’t found tools such as CBT helpful for some or all aspects of their recovery. I take time to understand each person’s unique experience, including how eating disorders can be entangled with identity, trauma, and attempts to find safety or emotional regulation.
I believe recovery is possible, but I also recognise that it can be messy, non-linear, and deeply personal. I support people at all stages of their journey, including those navigating longstanding struggles and those who’ve experienced harm in previous treatment.
Alongside my therapy work, I create training and resources to help professionals feel more confident and equipped when working with eating disorders. I’m particularly passionate about challenging stigma, promoting ethical care, and advocating for systemic change. As part of this, I’m the developer of The Eating Disorder Recovery Companion—an online subscription resource designed to support recovery.
Whether you’re looking for therapeutic support or professional collaboration, you’re very welcome to get in touch.
